Injection Drying System

Injection drying is a clever way to dry out voids within buildings with minimal damage.

With the use of desiccant dehumidifiers and specialist flood industry air compressors we are able to introduce warm dry air via narrow hosing in behind plasterboard, under floors and even under concrete slabs.

In this example the use of an injection drying system was able to dry out a property that had suffered flood damage to low level walls. We carefully removed the skirting boards throughout the ground floor and cored small 20mm holes through the plasterboard, into which we introduced the warm dry desiccated air via a network of hosing. It’s important to ensure exit holes are drilled to allow the damp air to be forced out by the entry air which is under pressure.

After 7 days the property was dry, this allowed reinstatements to proceed quickly with minimal damage and disturbance. Compared to traditional strip out and replacement the cost savings to the insurer were substantial.
