Where Is The Water Leak & Who Is Responsible?

Many people are unaware that Scottish Water are only responsible for the water supply up to the Toby – the meter or stopcock which is usually at pavement level. The customer is responsible from Toby onwards, often described as downstream, which means leak detection under gardens, pathways, driveways, tarmac, concrete, floating floors, pipe boxes, under floors and behind walls are all regularly required.
